The Commissioner established the Stopping Abuse Action Group in April 2020. The Group brings together over 30 organisations working together to ensure that older people can get the support they need to keep them safe and protected from abuse and crime.
The group is working together across the following key areas:
- Raising public awareness
- Improving support and services
- Undertaking research and improving data
- Capturing older people’s voices and experiences
- Supporting staff through training and support
- Influencing policy and legislation
