Ageism and the Abuse of Older People Briefing

The Commissioner has worked with a small group of academics and third sector organisations to produce a briefing, which raises awareness of the links between ageism and the abuse of older people.

The briefing aims to encourage organisations and practitioners to consider the ways that ageist attitudes and assumptions perpetuate the abuse of older people and shape their own responses to addressing that abuse.
